Janelle “Juicy Jay” Holmes turned a real love of cooking into a licensed and insured catering business with a loyal community far beyond Rochester.
Since 2020, Juicy Jay's Kitchen has served the food people gather around: soul food, seafood, Cajun and Creole flavors, and Jay's own soul-fusion point of view. What began as a dream grew through consistency, personality, and plates that make people stop scrolling.
Today, Jay caters weddings, private dinners, celebrity celebrations, corporate gatherings, and community events—at home in Rochester and on the road. Whether the guest list is intimate or the room is full, the standard does not change: it has to taste as good as it looks.
That promise has helped build an Instagram community of more than 300,000 food lovers, but Jay's favorite response still happens in person: a quiet first bite, then the look across the table.
